One thing that saddens me deeply is seeing an advert for a missing cat. The pain that the owners are going through makes my heartbreak. I know that pain as I lost my dear cat in Sept 2011. I went on holiday and my cats went to my parents house to be looked after for a week. They had a large room in which they were being looked after and access to other parts of the house sometimes too, but the second to last day, my Mum opened the door and Billy ran out past her. He didn’t know the area at all and disappeared totally.
If your cat is missing, the best thing to do is put up loads and loads of posters on lamp posts and leaflets through doors. I did this and people did see Billy and contact me but he was always one step ahead unfortunately. Do it as soon as your cat goes missing, don’t wait even a few days.
